What a week this was! I am worn completely out after this ordeal. It was cold a couple of mornings so I had to find a cubby hole in the sun room to stay with the dogs until it warmed up a little. I never did take pictures of all the rooms where furniture was piled high - oh! what a mess!
As soon as they started moving the living room furniture back in that room, I started wiping and cleaning. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was covered in dust!
They had a hard time ripping out the kitchen floors. When my BIL built something, he meant for it to last! That's where all of the dust came from.
So I wanted to share some pictures. I haven't taken time to stage anything. What you see if what you get! My niece, Cricket, came and helped me clean and get everything in some sort of order yesterday, or I would still be in a turmoil. She is the best!
The sun room - pillow upside down! (I told you.)
Next is the sewing room. I do love those floors in here!
Living room...the whole house looks bigger.

My sewing room is 3/4 back in place. I have some things to reorganize and put away, but that won't take too long.
I have a lot of catching up to do. I have been trying to scan over my blog list at night, but let me tell you I've been getting in the bed early since I had to get up early to greet my installers.
I'm so glad it's over, and we both just love it! I hope everyone has a great weekend.

I noticed that our house looked bigger too after the floors were put in! You are going to LOVE them! We put ours in in 2004ish and I still love them! So glad you're done- it is such a pain.
GOODNESS! those floors look awesome. I can only imagine how much dust after having that many rooms done. I know you have got to be pooped so rest up this weekend.
enjoy your new floors!
Oh, they look amazing!! I would love to have hardwood floors!!!
Your floors are amazing. I want to do that to my whole house now. The carpet just has to go. Thanks for sharing pictures of your cozy home.
Hurray, I do NOT like being displaced...but the floor looks marvelous! I love the darker wood; almost looks like a walnut stain.
Very nice and the best is that it is all clean :) I like that feeling!
I am so envious!!!! I love those floors and think how easy they will be to keep clean. Just a quick sweep up in the sewing room and it will be done. Like you said no needles in the rug anymore!

Oh Shirley...I feel your pain! But it was SEW worth it!!! It looks GORGEOUS!!!!!
Sorry to hear your shelf fell & some of your S&P collection was lost. :*-( Bummer!
I just had hardwood repair men here this morning to give me estimates on some "issues" I'm having. Groan! I sure don't want to have to go through what you did.
